Is Motorola Making A Square Android Phone?

This square unannounced phone just made the introductory rounds within the last few days, starting from DroidDog and Android-France. However, this wierdly shaped phone (possibly called the Twist) doesn't seem to be too extraordinary in any way other than it's form factor.

The specs on Android-France (which may or may not be true point to this phone being run-of-the-mill, sporting nothing special. Here is some of their list:

  • MotoBlur
  • 512MB Flash, 256MB RAM
  • 700MHz processor
  • 940 mAh battery
  • 2.8" 320 x 240 display
  • WCDMA/HSPA: 850/1900,GSM/EDGE: 850/900/1800/1900
  • 67x67x15.8 mm

According to AndroidCentral, the bands supported appear to sport North American 3G frequencies. If you were craving for a square Android phone, consider this a late Easter present.

The person who leaked the photo to DroidDog has now decided to have his post pulled, but now that you can find info on this without trying hard, no big deal.
