The President of HTC in the United States, Jason Mackenzie confirmed in an interview to Engadget that the new operating system should arrive on the Google Play Edition of the HTC One within 15 days. At the latest, users with the HTC developer device will get it in the next 30 days. Both models are only available in the USA. It’s interesting to point out that the international models of the HTC One should receive Android 4.4 KitKat within the next 90 days. HTC has yet to reveal any update details for the One mini and One max, but this should follow in the near future.

Also, Google’s adopted business Motorola announced their update plans for the USA as well. The Moto X and all its variants, DROID mini, the Ultra and the MAXX should get the 4.4 update, though no definite dates have been set yet.

Other manufacturers like Sony and LG haven’t hinted yet as to when KitKat will come to their devices, however here are the smartphones we believe will be getting the upgrade, feel free to check if yours is there!
