It doesn't show the whatsapp option on my contacts

Hello,

For some reason, it's not showing the whatsapp message option when i click on a contact in my Android. It used to do it up until yesterday. Is there some new Android update bug that's blocking this whatsapp feature? I can use whatsapp but only if I go to the whatsapp app. I can't use whatsapp from my contacts page. Please help!

Check whether you have granted the 'Contacts' permission to your WhatsApp Messenger.
