Even with all the new releases from Samsung and Apple recently, an older Samsung model was still top of the pops this week. Not long ago, the Galaxy Note 2 was confirmed to be getting Android 4.3 in the near future, and our news this week on superior battery performance for the aging phablet got more reads than any of the sexy new models on the block, proving there's lots of die-hard fans who still love their Note 2. Xiaomi got some attention this week at the Mi3 launch when Hugo Barra, ex-VP of Product Management at Android, showed up to announce his appointment as VP of Global at Xiaomi. We're hoping this means we'll start seeing amazing new low-cost, high-end smartphones like the Mi3 going international.
